Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, the pilot took the precautionary measure and immediately informed the air traffic control (ATC) about the same. After few minutes, the pilot observed wing flap malfunction glitch in the aircraft.                    .According to the sources, the pilot informed the Delhi air traffic control (ATC), following which full emergency conditions were declared at the airport.  

“Nepal Airline flight 218 enroute Delhi to Katmandu took off at about 8 pm.A Kathmandu-bound Nepal Airlines flight from Delhi with 160 passengers on board was forced to land at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Sunday night after the pilot observed a steering glitch in the aircraft. No flight operation was disturbed due to the incident.  

The sources said that pilot took a precautionary measure and asked for landing permission. The plane safely landed on runway 28,” said the sources.  

The Delhi ATC declared local stand-by for the ODM hydraulic hose connection flight, which landed safely at the runway. The ATC, on receiving the notification of the technical snag, kept emergency services on standby as per their procedures.
